After installing, it only found 2 stations in my area there are actually dozens of stations in the local area. Also, it requires theconnection of wired headphones as "an antenna" so you can't even listen directly from the phone, or use a bluetooth headset.
VERY dissapointing! One person found this helpful. Easy to use. I tried several different apps before settling on this one. In general, it works well. You do need to attach headphones to the phone as the headphone cable is used as the antenna, but you then can either listen through the headphones or switch to the phone speakers.
Sound is good. I live and work in rural areas and get good reception with this setup, although that may vary depending upon your phone. I've used cheap Apple earbuds, my Skull Candy buds, and a set of Bose over the ear headphones as "antennas", all with good results.
The app itself is pretty good. Enter your zip code and it'll come up with a list of stations that should be available in your area. Once you select a station, you can add it as a favorite; each of your favorite stations will be listed numerically, and so far I can't seem to re-arrange the list. It's easy to remove a favorite.
A "Live Guide" is available that gives quicker access to the available stations for your area, as well as a "genre guide" that lists different genres rock, country, sports, etc separately. Overall a good app, especially if you're traveling and want a local news or weather station, but I'd like to be able to set my favorites in the order I want instead of just numerically. Also, the zip code screen comes up each time I enter the app; might be nice to bypass that until I need it since mostly I rely upon my favorites list now.
While listening, most stations will show the song and artist. Doesn't really pick up much in my area. Something wrong app will not come on.
