Excellent system for preventing illicit acts and very easy to operate. From my cell phone I can review and be calm with the movement warning system. Worked great out of the box. I bought this DVR to replace another Lorex that had gone bad. This is a good product that is fairly easy to use on your laptop and phone. High quality video and easy to use features as far as setup and playback go. My only complaint is the Lorex technical support and the snail-like pace at which they seem to operate.
That has nothing to do with the quality of the product however. Bought an 8 camera p CCTV system to replace our existing Swann system which suffered from unreliability and degrading camera resolution.

I can watch my vacation home all year round. I will upgrade next year but so far great system. Support is the worst! The wired in cameras work great in all kinds of light and weather. The system works well and checking in via smart phone is a great feature. My only issue is that the DVR is apparently defective and the system has recently shut down. If Lorex can replace the item, then I will be up and running with a fine system. The product works well, company's tech support was very helpful in helping me set up the system for remote access on my mobile phone, i did not have to bring in expensive IT technician to set up the system on my pc and mobile phone.

I reccomend this system. Product, stars, dealing with the company, 0 stars! I bought the complete package with 8 cameras, new out of the box, no issues at time of purchase.
