So I'm playing with a nice community on a realms server and when 1, how to download datapacks for minecraft realms. Are datapacks going to work on realms servers? I know that realms is quite limited with the functionality, but this seems like something that should be possible. I do really hope that they add that option to upload datapacks.
If the world has to be downloaded, then it can only be re-uploaded if it is smaller than 2 GB if I'm not mistaken. Now that the release is there, this has become relevant again. Unfortunately datapacks don't seem to work as they should.
There is no datapack upload button in realms, so I had to download the world, add the datapack in the download and reupload it. I tested my datapack in singleplayer and it worked just fine, but when I uploaded the world with the datapack, the functions and tags were nowhere to be found. I checked if the pack was enabled and it was indeed. I disabled and reenabled it to be sure, but still no results.
Yeah, many things were broken, is kinda working now. If you save and upload after that it works! I know they are working on those issues still but this workaround did it for me. I made a video about it if you are interested. Thank you for your advice! I couldn't explicitly see in your video that the functions are available, but I'm going to try it nevertheless!
